Sadie was the sweetest, most gentlest pit mix I have ever met. She had a litter of 11 pups in 2011 and we kept 3 of them. In 2012 we rescued Sadie from the place she was living at, the owner was neglectful. If we had not taken her, she would not have been cared for. She was so happy to be with people who showed her love and warmth. She and her pups we had kept, abby, dede and rose, saw each other just about every day, since Sadie and rose lived with a family member down the street from abby and Dede who lived with me, along with my son and our beagle, rex. Sadie loved being with people, and she loved playing with my son and rex. Sadly, on Nov 30th, 2015, the neighbor dogs got into my back yard. sadie, rex and abby tried to defend their property, but lost the fight. Sadie and rex suffered massive injuries and abby received a bad bite on nose. Sadie's injuries and the trauma and no guarantee of cost she would even make it, i had to make the hardest decision and tearfully held her and whispered loving words as she was let go to cross over. I cried over her still body long after her last bteath. I cry as I remember her and tell her story. She was only 6 years old and didn't deserve her life to be taken like it was. Her offspring miss her dearly and it shows as they look around for her. We miss her dearly. She was only in our lives for a short time, but I loved that 'big gigantic doggy', as I lovingly called her, so very much. I take comfort in knowing she was met at the other side of the bridge by beloved chow tasha. RIP my big gigantic doggy, you are free of pain and at peace now. Thank you for giving us so many happy moments. You are loved and missed and remembered everyday.
