My Shih Tzu, Maxwell, was my baby. He was like my shadow, followed me everywhere. He wasn't one to be handled much but he slept with me every night and loved to give us all dog kisses. He developed some health issues over the past few years but everything was under control with medication. He passed from hemolytic anemia which seemed to come on suddenly. The doctors have no real explanation as to what caused it but we did everything we could. I miss him terribly.
