“I think breeders should take better responsibilities than they do...It's hard to give back a puppy that you have been caring for ...we went thru the same kind of ordeal with our Newfoundland female she was with us for two years ,she had bad hips and couldn't be bred with our male ...the breeder wanted us to give her back after 2 years.( I responded I raised her for 2 years and refuse to give her back to be put down) they should honor us by giving us a free pup since we are caring for these babies with their problems.. She lived a long time but, I couldn't breed her..... We have 2 pets here we adopted. A cat who is 14 we had to bottle feed from birth and a jack Russell/Schnauzer Terrier who is 15 we adopted at age 6 who was badly abused and as he got older he is now very ill and on all kinds of meds ... We intend and are looking for another Newfoundland Breeder ... But this time I want a few things put into writing before I purchase the puppy... I will not go to the same breeder we got our female from...”
