Chipa was a Hurricane Katrina survivor. He was rescued by Red Cross volunteers in New Orleans and then later shuttled to an animal sanctuary in Mississippi. A local veterinarian took her mobile unit to the sanctuary, helped nurse many animals back to health, and brought a number of them back with her to be fostered or adopted. I knew the moment he fell asleep in my arms at the clinic that he would be coming home with me. It was 10 years awesome of bunting, purring me to sleep, spooning my head, and cuddling. He was quite the flirt and always brought a smile to my face! The photo is one of the first I took of him, snuggled on his favorite spot: my pillow! Cuteness overload!
