Boots will always hold a special place in our hearts. When we first met him at the satellite location of PAWS we could hear him purring loudly in the cage and we knew he was the one for us. As a kitten he was silly and playful. I will always remember when he jumped in the full bathtub and got quite a surprise. He loved paper, ripping it, chewing it--"the cat ate my homework" was an honest excuse in our house. He loved to lie on your chest and purr, providing the most exquisite warmth. Always one to give a nice head butt or little kisses, he was easy going and tolerant.
We fought the good fight but we could not win. He warmed himself into our hearts and will always remain there though he is no longer physically present. The house echoes with the silence of his absence. Life goes on but we are forever changed for his love.
