Blackie was a really good old boy and I feel blessed I got to be his mama in his last years. We really loved each other and it broke my heart to see him go. He was 23 years old. My friends Mike and Maureen adopted him when he was already eight years old. Maureen had lymphoma and Blackie stayed by her side until the end. He loved her so. When Mike and I got together, after Maureen's passing, Blackie was so sad. I am so happy that I was able to make him happy again and that he had another seven good years.
