We rescued her when she was about 2 yrs old from a local shelter. They had named her Shadow, because she followed the workers around. She was there for me through some real difficult times and went most places with me. She developed Addisons Disease and it ended with her choking on her favorite - McDonald's cheeseburger. We got her back but she gave up and we had to make that hard decision to let her go. Even now I still miss her so.
